Iain Dowie has been accredited with coining the word bouncebackability.  If you’re not into football, you may not have heard of Iain Dowie, as for Emma (our founder and “mad hatter”) having an ex-Luton Town player coin a phrase was like the icing on a cake when it came to us developing the title for our resilience training programme. Back in 2004, when Iain was the manager of Crystal Palace, he used the phrase in describing how his team had gone from the fringes of relegation in December to winning promotion through the play-offs in May. For us at emd inspire, the ability to recover quickly from set backs is a key skill for us all to have, not just football teams.
